Gatot Gunarso is a PhD student at Beihang University in Beijing, where he has been studying since August 2021 with a dissertation on Ethical Artificial Intelligence in Multicultural View. From January 2017 to July 2024 he was a lecturer at Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana (UKRIDA) in Jakarta, teaching digital marketing, financial technology, entrepreneurship, international business, research methods, business development and business communication. From February 2020 to August 2023 he also headed UKRIDA's Entrepreneurship Unit, running the university's entrepreneurship programme across business, engineering, computer science, language, medical and nursing faculties. His LinkedIn headline is "To Transform a Generation".

Why Rahmat Wibowo targets them

In a KORIKA WhatsApp group, an account named "孔明" (Kongming), which Rahmat Wibowo identifies as Gatot Gunarso's, suggested removing Rahmat as a spammer and, after Rahmat threatened its members with his "professional blacklist", the DPR and the police, called him a "Scammer and Spammer". Gatot later replied on Threads, under a post by Machrio Achmad Nurhatta about Rahmat, that Rahmat had tried to extort people in the group. Rahmat answered with a 21-page legal notice demanding Rp533 million, copied to Gatot's university in Beijing, the Indonesian Embassy and KORIKA's chair, threatening Interpol and extradition from China. He then mocked Gatot as an "allegedly idle elderly man" who should get his mental health checked, and kept tagging him in mass-tagged posts on Threads.

    Rahmat Wibowo showed his hypocrisy by pleading for sympathy from Meta AI ('What did I do wrong? To be cursed by an entire country??') after Ibrahim Arief warned he could report him back to the police, when it was Rahmat who first threatened to take people to the police for defamation in September 2023, as the screenshot he attached himself shows; Rahmat also spammed the post by mass-tagging nine accounts.

    Rahmat Wibowo, posting in a Threads mental health community, accused Petra Novandi Barus, Machrio Achmad Nurhatta and 'Dombolort', 'strongly suspected' to be Rahmat Fabhian Aminuddin, of being 'Petrus Pembully terus menerus' ('Petrus, the constant bully'), said they do not know what it is like to live with PTSD, without mentioning that their responses, including Machrio's police reports against him, came after his own harassment of them, and mass-tagged eight accounts including PERADI, attaching a screenshot of Machrio's post about his police reports and a chat in which 'Dombolort' shares Rahmat's own crying video about AWS.
