Four days have passed since that statement. No report. No update. No follow-through. This is a pattern | have documented carefully: public threats made loudly, followed by silence. I want to be clear about what this kind of statement constitutes under Indonesian law. Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP) Baru, Undang-Undang No. 1 Tahun 2023, Pasal 448 mengatur: "Setiap orang yang melakukan pengancaman dengan kekerasan atau ancaman kekerasan, baik secara lisan maupun tulisan, yang ditujukan kepada orang lain sehingga menimbulkan ketakutan, dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 1 (satu) tahun atau pidana denda paling banyak kategori Il.” Translation: "Every person who makes threats with violence or threat of violence, whether verbally or in writing, directed at another person so as to cause fear, shall be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 1 (one) year or a fine of at most Category i A public post threatening that someone will “enter a police report tomorrow" with no legal basis, no verified representation, and no actual follow-through is not due diligence.
