‘The market of ideas doesn't lie.
A few weeks ago, Ferry Irwandi (S.E., M.M.,
M.B.A.) published an economic analysis on
the weakening Rupiah and claimed to be an
authority on indonesian macroeconomics.
My Aegis from InfraLoka review it.
Methodically. Line by line.
‘The scorecard:
+ Risk Management: 2/10
+ Parameter Calibration: 3/10
+ Fiscal Sustainability: 3/10
+ Overall Score: 4.4/10
The verdict: elegant in theory, fundamentally
flawed in execution.

background is in engineering, infrastructure,
and systems thinking. Not economics by title.
But | read. | analyze. | build rigorous
frameworks.
And | just out-analyzed an economics
commentator with multiple postgraduate
degrees.
This is not about gatekeeping credentials.
This is about intellectual honesty. A
Management master’s degree does not
automatically make you an economist. A
sophisticated presentation does not replace
sound methodology.
‘The Chunin Exam result is in. The data
decided.
If you want to debate macroeconomic policy
in Indonesia, bring your frameworks, not just
your titles.
