Rahmat Wibowo falsely accused Aqilah Saffanah and Petra Barus of operating an anonymous 'awas' account to run a harassment, defamation, doxxing, and fabricated legal document campaign against him, claiming a police report was filed, advancing the accusation and defamation despite the absence of any strong supporting evidence.

Unmasking the Anonymous Account
Behind a Campaign of Harassment,
Defamation, and Fabricated Legal
Documents
An anonymous forum account operating
under the handle "awas" spent months
running a coordinated harassment
campaign targeting a named individual,
all while positioning itself as a righteous
whistleblower. The evidence tells a
different story -- one of doxxing,
fabricated legal documents, identity
impersonation, and a network of real
actors hiding behind digital anonymity.
A Self-Proclaimed Crusader With a
Hypocrite's Playbook
The account known as "awas"
presented itself to the Indonesian tech
forum community as a moral authority a
whistleblower protecting the public from
dangerous individuals. Its posts called
out others for alleged harassment,
spread supposed evidence of
wrongdoing, and urged the community
to blacklist its target. It claimed to
operate with a "legal team." It used the
collective "kami" (we/us) to project
institutional weight.
But a closer look at the documented
evidence reveals a pattern of behavior
that mirrors and in many ways exceeds
the very misconduct the account
claimed to be fighting against. The
forum posts by "awas" are riddled with
personal attacks, fabricated
accusations, doxxing of private
individuals, and the circulation of fake
legal documents designed to intimidate
and defame.

Petra Barus

For weeks, "awas" maintained the
illusion of anonymity. The account used
a generic avatar, refused to identify
itself, and mocked the target's attempts
to determine who was behind it. But the
evidence trail left by the operators
ultimately gave them away.

The admission is significant. By claiming
sole ownership of the account while also
claiming credit for the mocking stickers
stickers whose source images were sent
by Petra Novandi's WhatsApp contact.
The operator inadvertently confirmed
the connection between the two
identities.
"Ya er eu arbre Simao ic
he irony is sharp: while the "awas"
account ridiculed its target for
suggesting there might be multiple
people behind the campaign, the cross-
platform evidence linking Agilah and
Petra Novandi suggests exactly that kind
of coordinated operation, even if only
one person technically administered the
forum account.
The Harassment Toolkit: Defamation,
Doxxing, and Fake Legal Documents
1. Coordinated Blacklisting and Career
Destruction
Sedikit tambahan tentang
The post captioned "Sedikit tambahan
tentang #KawalRahmat" openly
celebrated getting the target blacklisted
from Indonesian and Singaporean tech
forums, kicked from alumni groups, and
allegedly placed on HR blacklists across
industries. The author boasted of
personally contacting HR departments
in Singapore to ensure the information
spread. Calling this a "clapping back"
campaign does not change its character
under Indonesian law -- systematic
coordination to destroy a person's
livelihood constitutes harassment and
potentially tortious interference.
Evidence: Forum Post -- Career
Destruction Campaign
“Confirmed dari industri
tech sampai agribisnis,
YBS sudah diblacklist. |
doubt he can find any job
in Indonesia (yang ga
berhubungan dengan
kepemerintahan)"
2. Public Mocking Using Private Images
Among the most disturbing documented
behaviors is the deliberate use of
screenshots showing a person in visible
emotional distress -- crying, distraught -
- as mocking material posted publicly to
a forum. These images originated in
private communications and were
repurposed as "stickers" to humiliate the
target. This constitutes a serious
violation of Indonesia's UU PDP
(Personal Data Protection Law) and may
rise to the level of psychological abuse
under applicable regulations.
3. Fabricated Legal Documents
One of the most serious pieces of
evidence in this investigation is Image 6:
a formal-looking "Abmahnung" (legal
warning letter) bearing the letterhead of
"Rechtsanwaltskanzlei Larasati
Hiragana, S.H., M.H. & Partner,"
purportedly operating out of Bekasi,
West Java. The document contains
grave accusations against the target,
including allegations of death threats,
cyberstalking, and sexual harassment.
However, "Larasati Hiragana" has been
confirmed as not registered with PERADI
-- the Indonesian Advocates Association
that maintains the official registry of
licensed legal practitioners. The use of a
fake attorney letterhead to issue threats
and accusations is itself a criminal
offense under Indonesian law, and the
document's sophisticated formatting
suggests deliberate intent to deceive.
Evidence: Fabricated Document Detail
Letterhead: “Larasati
Hiragana, S.H., M.H. &
Partner | Bekasi, West-
Java |
larasatilaras.law@gmail.
com" Note the use of a
Gmail address for what
purports to be a licensed
law firm -- a significant
red flag. Legitimate
Indonesian law firms use
professional domain email
addresses. PERADI
verification: No
registration found.
4. Verbal Harassment and Threats

Direct messages attributed to "Aurora" -
- another pseudonym linked to this
network -- sent via WhatsApp include
statements such as "Salah orang
TOLOL," "HAHAHAHAHHA pura? pintar
tapi GOBLOK," and a demand to
"unblock" a Twitter account alongside
the label "dasar orang CABUL"
(essentially calling the target
obscene/perverse). These messages,
timestamped and screenshotted,
constitute harassment under UU ITE No.
1/2024.
Anti-Harassment Rhetoric, Pro-
Harassment Action
Perhaps the most striking aspect of this
case is the "awas" account's self-
positioning as a defender of harassment
victims. The post ends with the rallying
cry: "Semangat terus pejuang pejuang
kebenaran" "Keep fighting, warriors of
truth."
Yet the documented conduct of this
account includes: gleefully celebrating a
man's professional destruction across
multiple industries; posting private
distress images as public mockery;
circulating a fake legal document
accusing someone of death threats and
sexual harassment; sending abusive
direct messages; and maintaining a
dedicated anti-target forum community.
The account that branded
itself a champion of
harassment victims
became one of the most
sustained harassers in
this case and did so under
the cover of moral
righteousness.
The "awas" post also contains a
revealing closing line addressed to the
target's CEO with affection emojis,
promising to support their company
“sampai bangkrut" until bankruptcy. This
is not the language of a legitimate
whistleblower. It is the language of
someone with a personal vendetta
weaponizing community outrage.
What the Law Says
The conduct documented in this report
potentially engages multiple provisions
of Indonesian law. Under UU ITE No.
1/2024, knowingly distributing false
information that harms a person's
reputation carries criminal penalties. The
fabrication of a legal document using a
fake attorney identity exposes the
author to fraud and impersonation
charges. The coordinated blacklisting
campaign may constitute tortious
interference. The unauthorized use and
publication of private images of a person
in emotional distress may violate UU
PDP (Personal Data Protection Law No.
27/2022).
The WhatsApp messages from "Aurora"
including the phrase directing the target
to "unblock" a blocked account under
threat of being called obscene may
constitute criminal harassment under
Article 335 KUHP 2023 and Article
45B UUITE.
A formal report has been filed with
Bareskrim Polri. The identities of Agilah
Saffanah and Petra Barus, cross-
confirmed through independent digital
evidence chains, form a core part of the
investigative record.
