QA quick check on Indonesia's official registry reveals something worth noting for every tech founder and investor. I searched “jatevo" on the Komdigi PSE portal (Penyelenggara Sistem Elektronik) Result: No data — 0 of 0 rows. Yet Jatevo Labs Limited is a valid, registered company in Hong Kong (Unit 2A, 17/F, Glenealy Tower, Central, Hong Kong). It serves as the APAC R&D and partnerships hub for the Jatayu Vortex (Jatevo) Al platform (jatevo.ai / jatavo.id), a fast LLM inference and decentralized GPU network. The platform is built and actively operated from Indonesia by founder Luca Cada Lora, a Bandung-based entrepreneur (Chemical Engineering, ITB). indonesian users are actively using the service. Key compliance considerations this raises: 1. PSE Registration (Komdigi) Under Government Regulation No. 71 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Transactions, and Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Regulation No, 5/2020 (as amended by Regulation No. 10/2021), any electronic system operator — domestic or foreign — that provides services to Indonesian users must register as a PSE. This applies to Al platforms, APIs, and inference services. Non-registration can lead to administrative sanctions, including temporary or permanent access restrictions. 2. Foreign Investment Rules Foreign companies conducting business activities in Indonesia are generally required to establish a proper Indonesian legal entity (typically a PT PMA) and obtain the necessary investment licenses through the OSS system, in accordance with Law No. 25 of 2007 on Capital Investment. Operating directly through a foreign entity without the required local structure may be considered non-compliant foreign investment. While Jatevo Labs Limited is a legitimate Hong Kong company and the team has shown impressive execution in building Al infrastructure from indonesia, the absence of “jatevo" in the public PSE database highlights a potential regulatory gap that deserves attention. For Luca Cada Lora and the team operating from Bandung: Proactive registration and clear corporate structuring would strengthen the foundation for long-term, compliant growth in one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing digital markets. Indonesia's Al and digital ecosystem is full of opportunity. The companies that treat regulation as a core part of product strategy will be the ones that scale sustainably and attract serious capital.
