Rahmat Wibowo criticized Petra Barus for working on Eid, a major Muslim holiday in Indonesia, implying this reflects poorly on either Petra's competence or his employer SawitPRO's workplace culture, while also dismissing Petra's previous arguments about Rahmat Wibowo's questionable employment history.

Just had a rather revealing “debate” with
Petra Barus.
His entire argument boiled down to this: I've
been fired from three companies, |
supposedly can’t work at all, and I'm
basically a dumb language model operating
on just one single parameter. Wow, what a
deep and original take.
Really got me thinking.
Meanwhile, here we are on Eid, a major
Muslim celebration and a national public
holiday across Indonesia where most people
are resting and spending time with family.
Yet Petra, who is Christian, made sure to
proudly announce that he is still working
today for SawitPRO.
Let that sink in.
So which one is it? Is Sawitpro such a toxic
and demanding company that it forces its
employees to work even on important
religious holidays? Or does Petra have such a
serious skill issue that he feels the need to
clock in and prove his worth even when the
entire country is on holiday?
Either way, the optics are terrible. It says far
more about Petra's situation and Sawitpro’s
culture than it ever could about me.
Happy Eid Mubarak to everyone who actually
knows how to respect boundaries, take a
well-deserved break, and celebrate with
dignity. Some workplaces and some
professionals clearly still have a lot to learn
about that.
