Designing | Iw + Edited Kilo recently added a "Morning Briefing" setting to KiloClaw. It is a nice little feature that bundles the weather, pending Git issues, and local news, and sends it straight to Telegram. Unfortunately the automated setup missed setting a delivery target in the config.json on the first run resulting it it creating the report, trying to send it to Telegram, and failing. | was happily surprised, however, to find that just asking Amiko (my KiloClaw bot) why it didn't work resulted in her just digging into the config and fixing it herself. Nice. The fun started when I tried to update my actual Daily Report - the one | automated a while back to scrape my git commits and generate a report to keep management happy. | wanted to add a Japanese translation to the output. Turns out, Amiko couldn't easily distinguish between "Morning Briefing’, "Daily Briefing", and "Daily Report”. Suddenly, reports were appearing in the wrong place, and cron jobs were getting wiped out. Halfway through fixing the script, she started rambling about, the ‘dally briefing’ again, which was slightly alarming. | didn't know if she was working on the right thing but using the wrong term, or just getting mixed up. Wading through obvious spam and clear violations to find the genuinely tricky decisions that need human judgment is demoralising. Skilled community managers spend their time processing noise instead of handling the things that actually need their expertise. Automated moderation doesn't replace human moderators.
