Analysis
What this document is
A two-page Tanda Terima Somasi (receipt for a legal notice) for Rahmat Wibowo’s legal notice number 090/SOMASI/RW/X/2026, dated Friday, 23 October 2026. It is the sheet the recipient is meant to fill in, sign and return to the sender as proof of receipt. The sender is Rahmat Wibowo of Kota Bekasi, who signs off as “Pihak yang Dirugikan” (the aggrieved party). The intended recipient is Ibrahim Arief. Both pages have been found; the legal notice itself and its exhibits have not.
What it says
- What is delivered:
- “Surat Somasi Keempat” (the fourth legal notice) number 090/SOMASI/RW/X/2026, with exhibits B-1 to B-14, 24 pages in all;
- one copy of Sebuah Seni untuk Bersikap Bodo Amat, the Indonesian edition of Mark Manson’s The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck.
- Deadline: three calendar days from receipt, at the latest Monday, 26 October 2026 at 17:00 WIB.
- Recipient: “Sdr. Ibrahim Arief”. The rows for his account and address are covered by two black stickers reading “terverifikasi goblok” (“verified idiot”) next to a blue verified badge.
- Delivery and receipt: the delivery method (in person, courier or registered post), the receipt number, the date and time of delivery and the courier’s name are blank. On page 2, a scribble sits next to the recipient’s date and signature lines, but the boxes for who received it, the recipient’s name and their relationship to Ibrahim are empty. The two witness fields are empty too.
- Refusal clause: if the recipient refuses to sign, the refusal is recorded by the courier and witnesses and “the legal notice is still declared to have been delivered to that address”.
- Sender’s signature: under “Hormat saya,” (“Respectfully,”) there is no signature. In its place is a photo sticker of Rahmat glaring at the camera with an object raised over his head as if about to strike, captioned “Astaga Yagesya” (roughly “Good grief, okay?”).
Observations
- A sticker of himself apparently threatening violence. The space for the sender’s signature holds a picture of Rahmat raising an object over his head as if to hit someone, on a document addressed to a named person. Six weeks earlier he asked the Jakarta police to charge his former employer with “threats of open violence with combined force” because security staff took back his event badge and walked him out of an AWS event (doc-20260908-001).
- The fourth notice to the same person. By his own count this is the fourth legal notice to Ibrahim Arief. In May he announced he would deliver one to Ibrahim’s unrelated trial (ev-20260511-003); he published one in June (ev-20260607-004) and demanded Rp2 billion in July (ev-20260728-003).
- A self-help book in the envelope. He sends Ibrahim a book about learning not to care what others think. It comes the same week as his posts asking Meta AI why Ibrahim doubted his abilities in 2023 (ev-20261022-001) and boasting that his blog post outranks Ibrahim’s new startup on Google (ev-20261023-001).
- Insults in a “formal” document. The stickers over Ibrahim’s details call him a “verified idiot”, on a receipt meant to prove delivery of a legal notice.
- Not shown to have been delivered. Every delivery field is empty, nobody is named as having received it, and no witnesses are recorded. The refusal clause declares the notice delivered even if nobody signs.
