What this document is

A letter from the Special Crimes unit (Unit IV Krimsus) of the criminal investigation unit (Satreskrim) of the South Jakarta Metro Police, dated 30 September 2026, inviting Rahmat Wibowo to a clarification on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at 13:30 WIB, on the 3rd floor of the South Jakarta Metro Police headquarters. It is addressed to him in “Jawa Barat” with no street address.

It is the second police letter dated 30 September 2026 that Rahmat has shown. In the first one he is the person reported for defamation (doc-20260930-001); in this one he is the reporter.

What it says

  • Police report: LP/B/3472/IX/2026/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated 1 September 2026, “in the name of the reporter RAHMAT WIBOWO”.
  • Inquiry order: Sp.Lidik/6839(?)/IX/RES.1.24./2026/Reskrim Jaksel, dated 30 September 2026.
  • Alleged offense: “Penghinaan” (insult) under Article 436 of Law 1/2023 and/or Article 441 of Law 1/2023 (the new Criminal Code), which happened on 1 September 2026 at Jl. Prof. DR. Satrio No. 164, Karet Semanggi, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
  • Request: the police need a statement from him “selaku Saksi Terlapor”, and ask him to bring documents about the alleged offense and other related documents.

Observations

  1. Here he is the reporter, not the reported party. The report was registered on 1 September 2026, the same day as the alleged insult. The letter does not name the person he reported; no name appears on the visible part of the page.
  2. It is an inquiry, not a finding. The letter says the unit “sedang melakukan Penyelidikan” — is conducting an inquiry. At this stage the police establish whether an offense took place; the letter makes no finding about anyone.
  3. The role is described unclearly. The letter asks for his statement “selaku Saksi Terlapor”, a term that normally points to a witness for the reported party, while everything else in the letter calls him the reporter (pelapor).
  4. Two interviews on consecutive days. He is invited to Unit IV on 14 October at 13:30 and, in the other letter, to Unit V on 15 October at 13:00. His post dated 14 October, the day of this appointment, attached a police “Undangan Klarifikasi” letter to a video of himself in front of the South Jakarta criminal investigation logo (ev-20261014-001).
  5. Photos and meme stickers cover the lower part. A photo of a man in a cap next to a stone sculpture, a “PUSING KAN LU?” (“Confused, aren’t you?”) meme and a “Super GOKIL” lions meme hide where paragraphs 3–4 and the signature would be. Who signed the letter and anything else it asks cannot be read.
  6. Several figures are handwritten or overwritten. The letter number (15900), the inquiry order number, the day 30, the day 14 and the hour 13 are written by hand or overwritten on the printed letter.
