Analysis
What this document is
A letter from the criminal investigation unit (Satreskrim) of the South Jakarta Metro Police, dated 30 September 2026, inviting Rahmat Wibowo to a clarification interview on Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 13:00 WIB. Rahmat posted a photo of it himself on Threads.
What it says
- Police report: LP/B/2814/VII/2026/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated 17 July 2026, filed by R. Machrio Achmad Nurhatta.
- Suspected offense: defamation and/or slander under Articles 441, 433 and 434 of the Criminal Code, which happened on 15 July 2026 at around 11:00 WIB in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
- Who is reported: the letter says the offense was allegedly committed by “terlapor Sdr. RAHMAT WIBOWO” against “korban Sdr. R. MACHRIO ACHMAD NURHATTA” — Rahmat is the reported party, Machrio the victim.
- Stage: an inquiry (penyelidikan), opened under two inquiry orders dated 27 July 2026 and 30 September 2026. Rahmat is asked to come and give his statement and to bring related documents.
Observations
- Rahmat is the one reported for defamation. The articles in this report — 433, 434 and 441 of the Criminal Code — are the same ones Rahmat cites against the people he accuses in his own complaints.
- He covered parts of the letter with mocking stickers. In the version he posted, paragraph 3 is hidden under three stickers reading “terverifikasi goblok” (“verified stupid”), and the signature and stamp are hidden under a “PUSING KAN LU?” (“Confused, aren’t you?”) meme. What paragraph 3 says and who signed the letter cannot be read.
- The police acted on the report. The letter shows the report was registered on 17 July 2026 and that two inquiry orders followed. In June 2026 Rahmat accused Machrio of using “fabricated police reports” (ev-20260607-003); this letter, which Rahmat posted himself, refers to a report Machrio filed with the South Jakarta police.
- The letter does not name him a suspect. It is an invitation for clarification at the inquiry stage, when the police establish whether an offense took place. It calls him the reported party (terlapor) and asks for his statement as a witness (selaku Saksi).
- Handwritten details. The serial part of the letter number (15744) and of the second inquiry order (16716) and the date 30 are handwritten; the last digit of the letter number could also be read as 9.
- A second letter from the same police station, dated the same day. In the other letter Rahmat posted, he is the reporter of an alleged insult on 1 September 2026 and is invited to a clarification on 14 October (doc-20260930-002).
