What this document is

A 27-page letter numbered 061/SURAT-IABA/RW/09/2026 and dated Bekasi, 25 September 2026, from Rahmat Wibowo, “CEO Infraloka”, to the board, ethics council and secretariat of the Indonesia Association of British Alumni (IABA). It concerns Abigail Aryaputra Sudarman (“Abil Sudarman”), founder of the AI school ASSAI. It is marked as a public version, with his medical evidence left out. Pages 1–7 are the letter; pages 8–27 are attachments: a timeline, a gallery of evidence and a list of questions for IABA and the University of London. All 27 pages have been found.

What it says

  • The credential claim. Abil presents himself as a University of London graduate in Computer Science (AI/ML). Rahmat says this is contradicted by:
    • an empty LinkedIn search;
    • his GitHub;
    • a PDDikti record showing he enrolled in BINUS’s online management programme in 2019 and withdrew in 2022/2023;
    • a statement from a UNESCO Jakarta official.
  • Earlier steps.
    • Somasi to Abil on 5 May and 11 August 2026.
    • A complaint to the higher education ministry (004/ADUAN-KEMENDIKTISAINTEK/RW/08/2026, 14 August).
    • A complaint to Bareskrim and Polda Metro Jaya (060/ADUAN/RW/09/2026, 10 September).
  • The charges he lists.
    • Using a false academic title (Article 272(2) of the new Criminal Code).
    • Fraud or minor fraud (Articles 492 and 494).
    • Misleading information harming consumers (Article 28(1) of the ITE Law).
    • Using an academic title without right (Higher Education Law, Articles 28(7) and 93).
  • The IdeaFest incident. On 9 September 2026, at IdeaFest, where Abil was a speaker, “a man not dressed as staff” allegedly pulled him away, choked him and had security remove him. Rahmat reported this separately (057/ADUAN/RW/09/2026). He asks IABA to note that Abil allegedly uses “physical removal, not clarification” against people who question his credentials, citing a similar removal at JIExpo on 12 August.
  • Requests to IABA, with a reply within 14 working days:
    • check its member database;
    • ask Abil for his original diploma and verify it with the University of London;
    • if no degree exists, cancel any membership and issue a public correction;
    • if he is not a member, say so in writing for use in the police and ministry complaints;
    • weigh the IdeaFest incident as an ethics matter.

Observations

  1. A request to an alumni association about someone not shown to be a member. The letter does not say that Abil claims to be an IABA member or uses its name. It asks IABA to investigate him, contact the University of London, issue a public correction and provide a statement for Rahmat’s police and ministry complaints.
  2. “Fake” rests on the absence of records. The evidence is an empty LinkedIn search, a GitHub page and a withdrawal from a different programme at a different university. The letter itself says that a University of London confirmation is “still needed”, that the element “false” will only be settled by it, and that if the diploma exists “the allegation falls”. Rahmat had already reported the degree as fake to the ministry and the police.
  3. The UNESCO statement is cut short. The letter quotes the UNESCO Jakarta official as writing “he did not have a contract of employment or consultancy with UNESCO Jakarta”. The screenshot in its own attachment A-009 continues: “You will have to confirm with KORIKA regarding his duties there. I cannot comment on his involvement there.” The UNESCO report in attachment A-008 thanks “Abigail A. Sudarman” and others “for their program administration for the writers and reviewers”.
  4. The “fraud” victim is Rahmat, over a payment to KORIKA. The only payment cited is Rahmat’s own transfer of Rp150,000 by OVO to the merchant “KORIKA 1” at 03:03 on 29 May 2026 (A-010), which he says he made “because he believed in” Abil’s title. By then he had publicly disputed Abil’s credentials for weeks and, by the letter’s own timeline, sent him a somasi on 5 May (ev-20260502-003, ev-20260504-003, ev-20260506-002). The payment went to KORIKA, not to Abil. The letter concedes this is at most minor fraud, with a maximum fine of Rp10 million.
  5. The group removal was by KORIKA’s admins. The letter cites his removal from a WhatsApp group (A-011) as Abil’s “reaction to verification”. The screenshot shows “Oskar Riandi removed you” and “Indra Ksp removed you” in three KORIKA groups. In June Rahmat accused those administrators, not Abil, of expelling him (ev-20260615-006).
  6. The “recorder” is his own account. The only link between the man at IdeaFest and Abil is the caption “Timnya Abil Sudarman Yang Mencekik Rahmat Wibowo” (“Abil Sudarman’s team choking Rahmat Wibowo”). The letter presents it as the recorder’s statement and rates it as “medium” evidence. The still in P-2 is a close-up of Rahmat’s own face. Both video links are posts by @ceogenz_reborn, which this site’s home page lists as one of Rahmat’s accounts.
  7. One video link predates the incident. The IDs of the two video posts date them to 7 September 2026 at about 08:32 WIB and 15 September at about 10:37 WIB. The first is two days before the 9 September incident it is cited for.
  8. Tickets bought after an earlier removal. He bought his IdeaFest tickets on 23 August, 3 September and 4 September, after the 12 August removal at JIExpo that the letter blames on Abil, and says he attended to press for “verification”. He claims all three orders, Rp1,524,300, as lost: passes for days 1 and 2, a day-3 bundle and a separate comedy show.
  9. Drafting notes left in.
    • Page 3 says the wording of Article 28(1) “perlu dicek ulang pada gambar halaman PDF sebelum dikirim” (“needs to be rechecked against the PDF page image before sending”).
    • Pages 2–3 refer to a “folder referensi” (reference folder) of statutes.
    • The PDF is a browser print of “localhost:56872/surat-iaba-public.md”, created on 25 September 2026 at 06:34 WIB.
  10. Numbering. The letter is numbered 061 and dated 25 September. His complaints numbered 060 and 063 are dated 10 and 11 September (doc-20260911-001).
  11. Not shown to have been sent or answered. The letter is a public version with no signature, and nothing in it shows IABA received or answered it.
